- Desktop app for macOS 11 or newer and Windows 10 64-bit or newer.
- AI transcription imports local audio and video files and outputs editable subtitles. It can continue into subtitle translation, transcript generation, and hard-subtitled video output for video sources.
- Transcription models currently shown in the app are OpenAI Whisper, Groq Whisper Turbo, and Groq Whisper Large.
- Standalone subtitle translation imports existing subtitle files and outputs translated subtitles.
- Standalone hard subtitles combine one video file with one subtitle file, preview styles, and export a hard-subtitled video.

## Important boundaries

- AI transcription and translation may incur provider costs through the user's own API account.
- ReelMeld is not a fully local AI inference app. AI transcription, optimization, and translation are handled by the provider configured by the user.
- After the 7-day trial, free mode still supports single-file AI transcription, single-file subtitle translation, and the standalone hard subtitle workflow. Pro is for multi-file AI transcription, multi-file subtitle translation, batch transcripts, and batch hard-subtitled video output inside AI transcription workflows.
- Standalone hard subtitles currently process one video plus one subtitle file and are not separately Pro-gated.
